Reporting to Director General (Technical), spearhead the Information Technology Department to improve productivity & reduce costs through improved uses of technology. Currently leading the deployment Biometric Attendance System, integration of legacy system, deployment of Oracle Financial EBS R12, development of new web based systems project which includes responsive client portals, cross platform mobile apps for the iPad, Android and Windows phone that share a common codebase- Plan the programs and operations of the division to meet the short and long-range goals of the IT Department line with the organization’s goals. - Collect regular feedbacks from users to improve business processes in all applications- Formulate & implement changes to policies, procedures, maintenance, and system standards to improve quality and increase efficiency.- Evaluate existing IT needs of all departments, propose recommendations to maintain and improve the quality of service and also plan, coordinate, and implement improvements in service- Accomplishes IT staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures- Established a Modus operandi for several delayed projects and successfully transitioned them from continuous development into operations. Also negotiated appropriate SLAs to support continuity of operations.

My responsibilities as Deputy Manager was as following:- Supervision of deployment of Oracle Financial EBS –R12- Restructuring and integration of legacy system of Port Qasim Authority- Implementation of oracle HRMS Module and Digital Archiving for HR department- Streamlining the workflow of HR department and looking after HR affairs pertaining to BPS -19 above officers

- Managing and creating Oracle database- Managing Oracle Storage Structure- Installation of servers and clients- Managing user Accounts- User Account management: Creating Users, Disabling users, Responsibility management- Maintaining several Database instances running on Oracle Sun and Windows environments (located on different geographical locations)- Monitoring & Managing the Tablespaces and datafiles growth- Monitoring locks and various sessions using OEM- Analyzing Tables & Schemas, collecting system statistics, reorganizing tables and rebuilding indexes- Monitoring and elimination of Row Migration & Row Chaining- Backup and Recovery procedure which includes documenting the process- Backing up of Archive Log files and monitoring space in that mount point- Regular checking of Alert log file- Taking Export dump daily for Backup purpose- Responsible for taking full cold database backup- Identified, resolved, or provided recommendations to other different kinds of the performance problems ranging from Database performance problems to I/O hardware performance problems.- Providing support for the smooth functioning of the Database to developers- Created new databases and users, setup RMAN backups, Export, and other monitoring scripts.- Implementation of Data Guard Technical Consultancy of Oracle Database Administration (9i/10g/11g)- General Technical Support of Oracle Database to principle companies in line with the replicated data with them.- Customer Support for provision of Oracle instances to all end users- General Customer Support of EM - Technical Planning, Design and Implementation consultancy for Oracle solutions including High Availability & Disaster Recovery solutions

- GAP Analysis for implementation of Oracle Financial and HR in the company.- Database Administration Activities (OEM, Storage, Backups, RMAN, Performance Tuning and Monitoring)- Software development activities including design (logical database structures & work flows)- Developed & maintained (forms, reports, interfaces, PL/SQL & Object libraries) in support of Oracle Customized Applications like Human Resource Management, Payroll, General Ledger, Provident Fund, Inventory Control, Cargo Throughput, Revenue, Utility Bills, and Land Management etc.- Prepared a plan for applications installation, implementation and setup user profiles according to their job descriptions and training to users, troubleshoot errors/bugs, test and install applications versions and patches.
