Paramedic and clinic supervisor for sporting and musical events where our goal is to “Keep your Event UnEventful”. Provide physician-led services to quickly treat participants and spectators at the point-of-injury in order to limit any burden on local resources.

Ukraine

Patrol Medic assigned to the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Eastern Ukraine. Provide tactical, emergency and primary care to team members while patrolling in the conflict areas. As the Paramedic Group Leader, I oversaw the scheduling and management of medics assigned to my location. Responsible for resource evaluations and clinic inventory. Liase with local national doctors and client staff, coordinate and conduct medical training to OSCE personnel and paramedic staff.

Iraqi Kurdistan

Assigned to land seismic project in northern Iraq. Providing advanced emergency and primary care to crew of 350+ personnel. Assist in teaching trauma care and basic first aid concepts to crew. Assist in HSE activities as needed.

Assigned to a short-term project aboard a seismic vessel working offshore Mexico. Provide emergency and primary care to crew of our vessel and our support vessels.

Assigned as a roving HSE Paramedic, working project sites both onshore and offshore. Usually the sole provider of primary and emergency care to clients and contractors on site. Responsible for locum coverage, short-term contracts and clinic start-ups. Lead or assist in a multitude of HSE activities including inspections, training and reporting.Projects included: - Anchor handling vessel tasked with towing the West Alpha Platform for a project in the Kara Sea - Accommodation vessel supporting the Berkut Platform, located offshore Sakhalin Island, Russia - Remote exploratory gold drilling project in Burkina Faso - Start-up of an onshore clinic supporting offshore drilling operations in Equatorial Guinea - Remote drilling site in the jungles of Cameroon - Oil platform offshore Malabo, Equatorial Guinea - Pipe lay vessel offshore Nigeria

Assigned to seismic vessels as the sole provider of clinical and emergency care to crew members. In charge of the inventory and upkeep of the vessel hospital and rescue equipment. Organize healthy living campaigns and monitor vessel for health and hygiene concerns. Responsible for multiple HSE activities including leading safety committee meetings, weekly reporting, coordinating department safety inspections, JSA/TRA development, and incident investigations. Tasked with overseeing shipyard workers while vessels were in dry-dock for repairs or annual inspections.

Portland, Oregon Area

I worked at AMR while it was still Buck Ambulance as an EMT-Basic. After obtaining my Paramedic certification, I worked the urban front for 5 years before transferring to the Reach and Treat (RAT) Team. This specialized unit provides ALS care and support to the SAR community, both locally and nationally. Our team, usually responding as a 2-person hasty team, was responsible for quickly accessing (REACH) patients in a variety of locations (alpine, water, cliff, canyon, cave) with the goal to stabilize (TREAT) a victim medically until further rescue resources were available. For 4 years I was the AMR Special Programs Coordinator, responsible for the policy/procedure development, business procurement, hiring, training, and overall management of the RAT Program, Wildfire Response Program, and River Rescue Program.Assigned as a part-time Supervisor and Field Training Officer and routinely traveled to other operations to teach or assist teaching various subjects, mainly rescue oriented. I also was part of the AMR Disaster Response Team and had a lead role in the infancy of the DRT in the NW area; specifically the scheduling and pre-deployment orientation of crews departing to the Gulf States in response to Hurricane Katrina. I also acted as a Team Leader for a deployment to the city of New Orleans immediately after the landfall of the hurricane.

Acted as the Medical Coordinator, responsible for the inventory and upkeep of the first aid stations, medical training of fellow patrollers, chart review, incident investigation, and completion of any insurance paperwork as necessary.
