As a Regulatory Affairs Advisor for EBANX, a cross-border payment processing company, I work extensively on projects related to payments regulation, privacy and data protection regulation, and cryptocurrency and blockchain-based technology. I provide expert advice on the legal and regulatory aspects of Brazil, key markets across Latin America (including Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, and Chile), the United Kingdom, and Singapore. By closely monitoring new regulations and communicating their impact to the company, I help ensure that all products are fully compliant with local legal frameworks. I also work closely with other business teams to build innovative products and services across different jurisdictions, guaranteeing that they are, by design, compliant with the legal framework applicable to them.

As a Legal Counsel, I have advised, drafted, and negotiated key agreements related to the core business of the company. This includes payment network agreements, data protection agreements, agreements with key clients and prospects, and more. I served as a business partner to a wide range of areas within the company, including Commercial, Marketing, Product, Merchant Services, Risk and Compliance, Procurement, Accounting, Facilities, Strategic Payments Partnerships, Treasury, and others. I worked with various businesses across the APAC, Caribbean, Latin America, Singapore, United States, and Europe, drafting agreements, legal opinions, T&Cs, and privacy policies. I have also led tech projects related to data analysis and project management, as well as technology projects to improve the efficiency of the Legal Team.

As a Legal Assistant, I worked with the Litigation Team in managing a litigation portfolio of approximately 1,000 lawsuits. Through my work with other teams and external firms, I helped to save costs and ensure the legal safety of the company. By conducting each case and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization, I contributed to a streamlined and efficient litigation management process, as well as to the success of the company within the Courts of Brazil and Latin America. I also led technology projects to automatically analyze the data lake of the company and suggest improvements in the conduction of the law suits. This led to the creation of more efficient Settlement Policies and Appeals Policies, as well as in the use of better arguments in the legal documents.
