At Chicory, I had the opportunity to work with some very smart people on some extremely ambitious projects. I led an initiative to create 5 new ad sizes. This allowed Chicory's ad provider to show ads in more spots and increased revenue. This was accomplished using a Django based internal UI platform, CSS, HTML and Javascript.A/B testing was a large focus during my time at Chicory. There was no A/B testing in place and so I helped architect a framework to run tests across Chicory's network. After the framework was created, I developed an ingredient checklist and ran an A/B test with it. The results were then tracked on Superset and analyzed to determine if the ingredient checklist would become a permanent experience.A core piece of Chicory's flow is a shopper select experience, where users can checkout with a selected retailer. It contains a modal containing all of the retailers near the user and if Chicory's SDK can't be loaded, it shows a fallback page. I improved the responsiveness, refactored the React code from class based components to functional and added support for more screen sizes such as tablets and lesser used devices.Lastly, a platform was created to automate numerous things, such as giving Chicory's partners revenue data and customizing the "Get Ingredients" button. The platform was greenfield development using Next.js, React, Typescript and Redux. I worked closely with a designer, product owner and other developers to create core components from scratch. These components included a reusable datatable, a dynamic sidebar with subsections and graphs.

Cognizant was a fantastic learning experience with some amazing teammates. In my time here, I learned an abundance about React and working within large teams.The majority of my time at Cognizant was spent working for FIS Global on an international real time payments system. The tech stack was React, Next.js and Redux and Styled Components with Docker and Kubernetes for building and deploying. I worked on form validation, optimizing Redux store modification, user authentication/authorization, streamlining and documenting components using Storybook, tackling tech debt and improving website accessibility. I also mentored wherever I could by offering technical assistance, code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions.

My 5 years spent at Walmart Global Tech was spent entirely within the transportation logistics organization. I had the opportunity to be a part of projects that impacted the workflow of thousands of people daily.I first joined the on board controller (OBC) team with the goal to enhance driver work flows. We got direct driver feedback, then integrated with a third party to upgrade the OBC devices in thousands of Walmart semi-trucks. This allowed Walmart to receive more fine tuned information and in general modernized the driver workflow. The OBC integration affected over 7,000 Walmart semi-trucks.The next team I was a part of was tasked with creating a React platform to replace a legacy system. The platform contained core components, internationalization and a singular place for deployments. We wanted to handle all the heavy lifting so the teams using the platform could focus on their deliverables.Something else I'm quite proud of is that I became one of the first people to deploy services to Oneops, Walmart's cloud. I was a subject matter expert on Oneops and helped many developers onboard their services.Lastly, I created a POC to profile Java APIs. It was such a success that the direction shifted to require the profiler in all services within the transportation logistics organization. The number of APIs using the profiler was in the hundreds.
