My role is focused on identifying opportunities for SOR to collaborate with customers to meet their specific oil needs and thereby add value to their businesses. I enjoy working side by side with our customers on projects to find solutions for their oil applications, bringing together the expertise from both organisations to create better outcomes than we could achieve on our own. Key responsibilities- Provides technical support for manufacturing processes at Orica plants to ensure product precursors are manufactured to correct specification prior to delivery onto customer site- Regularly attend customer sites to provide product support and assist with training and incident investigation- Lead the implementation of new products for commercialisation- Assist with delivery of explosives to customer mine sites and blasting operations, ensure products are used safely and efficientlyAn Example of Significant AchievementProject managed the implementation of new product formulations across the East Coast region in a high volume, high speed supply chain requiring a quick transition in 2014 including - Supervision of a team of 25 people from eight departments across the company, providing regular reports to the project steering committee- Equipment and resources - Installation of $1.5 million of equipment across two plants during the three month lead time on raw materials- Manufacturing - Planned and coordinated a detailed staged conversion of Orica plants and customers onto new product range which involved staggering the necessary plant shutdowns and closely managing when each customer could change to new products based on Orica's ability to fulfil orders- Marketing – Produced a marketing Q&A sheet and all other information for communicating changes with customers- Finances – Drafted a business case for the project which demonstrated the financial modelling for the change and the savings across the different product ranges with incremental margins on each product- Result - Successful conversion of all customers to the new products without slowing production or any downtime in production across a diverse product range, together with substantial monetary savings per year for the organisation
