I have broad experience in optometry practice in a range of clinical settings and locationsacross Australia, including working in corporate optometry, independent practices andophthalmology clinics with significant time spent in Darwin and Melbourne. I have special interests in detection and management of eye diseases, paediatric optometry, myopia management and specialty contact lens fitting.I have also worked and volunteered for extended periods in Papua New Guinea and TimorL’Este, with the goals of improving eye health outcomes in our region.I have almost a decade of experience in optometry leadership and governance positions and have been President/Chair of both Optometry Victoria and Optometry Australia. I have aconsidered approach and strong belief in the Board’s role in ‘setting the tone’ from the topand driving positive organisational culture. I have championed and am passionate about improving the capability and knowledge of optometrists to better serve the eye health needs of our community.
