I was graduated in Electronics & Communication Engineering from University of Madras in 1989, received my Masters in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Pune in 2001 and was conferred Ph. D. in Aug. 2010 by the University of Pune. I have worked in the Teaching and Administration for about 34 years’ in the capacity of Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Professor, HOD, Vice Principal, Principal. My fields of interest are Antenna, Microwave, OptiCom, SatCom and EMI&C. I am a Fellow of IETE & Life member of ISTE, IEI, ISOI, SEMCEI, CSI, ISCA and SSI. In my credit, I have 150 (One Hundred Fifty) Technical Papers published in National / International repute Conferences & Journals. I have authored Five text books entitled “Mobile Communication Systems”, “Communication Systems”, “Optical & Microwave Communication”, "Wave Theory & Antenna" and "Thamizhar Marabhu" for Diploma & Degree level students. I was the Chief Coordinator of ISTE approved STTP on Advanced Communication Systems and STTP on Advances in Microwave and Optical Communication Systems. I was the Convener of 1st & 2nd International Conference on Smart Automation in Computer, Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering (ICSA-2019 & 2021) @ SRM VEC and Convener of 1st & 2nd ‘National Conference on Microwave and Millimeter wave Communications [NCMMC-2013 & 2015] held at SRM VEC and Co-Convener of the ‘National Conference on Broadband Communication Systems [NCBCS 2006]’ held at VIIT, Pune and the National Seminar on Inducting a New Faculty at Navsahyadri Group of Institutions, Pune in 2011. I am an approved Ph.D. Supervisor of the Anna University, Chennai, Sathyabhama University and currently, I have guided 11 Ph.D Research Candidates. Received the Best Principal Award from Institution of Engineers(I)-TNSC in September 2024, Academic Excellence Award from IE(I)-TNSC in Dec.2022. The ISTE has awarded me the “Anna University National Award for an Outstanding Academic” in the year 2016. Earlier in 2018, I was awarded the Life Time Achievement Award by NGI, Coimbatore and in the year 2020, I received the IETE - Prof. K. Sreenivasan Memorial Award. Currently, I am the Immediate Past Chairman of Computer Society of India Kanceepuram Chapter & Ex. Executive Committee Member of IETE Chennai Centre.
