Laid off lack of work.Monitored and maintained network servers for Open Technology Group, Inc., under contract to the Social Security Administration in Woodlawn, MD. Responsible for performing a variety of functions, which included installing updates on systems running on Microsoft’s Server 2003, Windows XP, or Vista; configuring change requests for networks running on Microsoft’s Server 2003; troubleshooting problems with Server 2003 networks; setting up new PC’s; analyzing and configuring new filters for Sophos’ PureMessage, Trend Micros’ ScanMail and Microsoft’s Forefront; responding to Change Asset and Problem Reporting System (CAPRS) tickets; adjusting permissions in AD (Active Directory). Used Exchange Server performance monitors for seven regional operating computer centers (ROCCs) with over 110,000 mailboxes and 128 servers and responded to SCOM alerts for three ROCCs at a time.
