Charter included the maintenance of technology awareness, utilization, acquisition, and transfer; management of GreyStone’s Technology Council; and the evaluation and establishment of strategic technology partnerships. Prior to the technology management role at GreyStone, was responsible for business development of simulation products in Thailand, Singapore, and Taiwan. GreyStone's technical focus was on the research, engineering, and manufacture of advanced simulators for planning, training, education, and entertainment (in-home and location-based entertainment markets).

Participated in some of the earliest development of this technology and presented technical papers, proposals, and briefings to establish and extend this business area (machine learning, artificial intelligence, and neural networks applications). Served as program manager and principal investigator during the development of an expert system based on neural networks technology for the Air Force’s Human Resources Laboratory.

Initiated and led FSI’s Artificial Intelligence department. Principal investigator for the company’s R&D programs involving artificial intelligence and models of intelligent behavior, human decision-making, and symbolic processing. Developed several rules-based expert systems using early AI programming languages and hardware. FSI's program manager and technical lead for a number of U.S. Navy training and analysis programs including TOPGUN, the Fleet Fighter ACM Readiness Program, Turnaround ACM Program, and Maritime Air Superiority Exercise. Supervisor of the Test & Evaluation Computer Center. Provided software design and engineering on FSI’s line of advanced graphics and simulation products.Among many other things, FSI was a leader in the early development of drone or UAV/UAS technology with their QF-86 program, which converted F-86s to unmanned/remotely piloted platforms.
