Re-envisioning Michigan's Nightlife Harm Reduction services; MK Collective provides venue training and consultation, plus on-site peer-based harm reduction resources and services. Position includes grant writing, non-profit reporting, finance, educational material development & design, social media marketing.

This role includes logistics and planning for events of all sizes to build community, frequent engagement with local and state elected officials, and maintaining relationships with 100s of community partners. Projects for this role and it’s salary are grant based and Part of my responsibility is continuing grant funding for future programs and advocacy.Primarily focused on accessibility and transportation advocacy, this position also includes watchdogging legislation and organizing around housing, healthcare and employment. Former coordinator for several interns and volunteers across six departments.

Formerly DNA2 (Ann Arbor), where our initial resolution unanimously passed city council, my role in MICH/DNMI includes organizing several chapters working towards local resolutions across the state and the management of a state level campaign that has included the introduction of multiple senate bills and a ballot initiative. Responsibilities included: administrative functions, fundraising, social media management, community engagement, campaign management and acting as the go-between for drug policy/plant medicine/harm-reduction efforts in Michigan.

2nd cycle in this role. This role included training and managing multiple paid student fellows and volunteers to activate college campuses through two election cycles (one in person/one remote). Our teams handled coordination of voter registration for thousands of students, knocking on hundreds of doors, collecting pledges to vote, managing large phone and text banks, and providing rides to the polls. Partnered with administration, faculty, campus offices, student organizations and community groups to host events around voting, the various ballot issues, and candidates.

Built, maintained and managed communication with a large statewide database of progressive issue-based organizations. Organized large letter sign-ons to various elected officials, coordinated direct actions with other groups, and started data mapping the progressive movement in Michigan.
