A tenacious problem solver & dual-degree Cybersecurity scholar pursuing a career in cybersecurity consulting.As a co-terminal student at the Illinois Institute of Technology, I pursued a dual degree in Computer Science and Information Technology and Management with a specialization in Computer and Information Security. I am passionate about exploring the intersection of technology, education, and social justice, and how to use my skills and knowledge to create positive change in the world.Previously, I worked as a Computer Science Lead Instructor for Precollege Students at IIT, where I develop and deliver engaging and accessible course content for beginner-level computer science students, covering topics such as programming, data structures, algorithms, and web development. I also discuss ongoing issues in technology, such as algorithmic bias, AI ethics, and the digital divide, and encourage students to think critically and creatively about their role and responsibility as future technologists. In addition, I collaborate with a team of co-instructors and Precollege program managers to provide optimal student experience and support. Previously, I organized backend information for Illinois Tech's Interprofessional courses using database tools such as Airtable, supported onsite classroom and forum operations with live technical assistance, and restored older computer hardware for spare usage at the workplace as an Operations Student Assistant at Kaplan Institute. I also served as the Vice President of SigEp Learning Community for two terms at Sigma Phi Epsilon, where I coordinated the planning and execution of academic-based programming activities and forums, incorporated feedback and required guidelines from national and regional fraternity conferences and workshops within local chapter operations, and maintained SLC accreditation for local chapter, within national fraternity guidelines. Through these experiences, I have developed and demonstrated core competencies in computer and information security, web development, database management, project management, teamwork, communication, and leadership. My goal is to continue learning and growing as a professional and a person, and to contribute to the advancement and improvement of the fields of technology and education.
