My husband and I own Clear Weather Farm in Colfax. We farm land in Fountain, Montgomery, Clinton and Boone county. We grow corn, soybeans and pumpkins. We raise registered Guernsey cattle where we attend/show at open shows, sell cattle, and we sell homemade butter and milk soap. Our Guernsey cattle have been tested and are all A2/A2 qualified. We also support the 4-H youth by allowing our cattle to be leased to promote the 4-H dairy project.

I am the Agriculture Science and Business teacher and FFA advisor at the high school that I teach at, I am able to teach 12 different classes which involve Agriculture and I am able to teach some of the business college prep courses as I have added business education to my license in 2013. Worked on a crop research and development team. We planted and harvested corn and soybeans in mini plots and took data on different applications and fertilizers. I also maintained the mini plots by mowing around them and also hosted and helped with numerous crop field days with the upper Syngenta management.

I did various jobs from running farm equipment, to milking the registered Guernsey cattle, showing cattle, and tending to the cattle in feeding,watering and managing them.

I would check in or out vehicles that the Purdue professors and or staff needed so they could do business for Purdue. I answered phones, scheduled vehicles, and filed paperwork.

Planted plants (seeds, plugs). Delivered plants to local greenhouses in the state of Indiana via the box truck or the pick-up truck. Ran different equipment at the business dealing with the trans planter, tractor and forklift.

Worked with the 4-H Educator,doing jobs dealing with the 4-H fair. Contacting judges, putting together the Clover Chatter, postcard mailings and much more.
