Member of the Fieser Group working on depolymerization catalysts for the chemical recycling of plastics. I am currently working on two projects, one revolving around the dechlorination of Poly(vinyl chloride) and one involving the chemical depolymerization of Poly(ethylene terephthalate). Science Intern under John Davis working on current New York state litigations regarding polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS) pollution. My work included research into PFAS structures, analogs, pathways, and degradation. Deliverables included memos regarding my findings and summaries from company R&D documents received during discovery.

Work with primary investigators and graduate students to find and purchase needed materials for institute research. Help to keep inventory and clean labs for reuse through other primary investigators. Skills include: - Keeping accurate and up-to-date inventory - Customer service - Knowledge of hundreds of common lab chemicals and instruments - Time management - Chemical safety (volatiles, peroxides, heavy metals) - Package shipping and receiving

Organized and led two weekly classroom sessions of 6-10 freshman Chemistry I students each. Also designed and performed demonstrations during Chemistry I lectures of 200-300 students. Participated in traditional and electronic office hours to provide additional assistance to students. Completed extensive leadership and diversity training to effectively communicate in/with groups. Characterization of novel anion and proton exchange membranes for use in both hydrogen electrolyzer and fuel cell technologies. Optimization of anion exchange membrane classification techniques for high-efficiency testing. Skills include: - Hydrogen AEM cell stack builds and operational testing- Titration measurements - Large data manipulation - NIKON imaging software - AutoCAD software - Baseline membrane testing (water content, swelling, ion exchange capacity, gas permeation) - Oral presentation - Working both as a team and individually
