Through 2019 I held the title of Exhibitions Coordinator. At that time I was promoted to the position of Exhibitions Manager. As Exhibitions Coordinator, I actively participated in achieving the strategic goals of the curatorial department, which included coordinating shipping and cataloguing hundreds of loaned objects annually; assisting in over thirty exhibit installations and de-installations; managing art handling and storage of loaned objects; conducting multiple tours for guests of all ages weekly; developing interpretive materials for up to ten exhibits annually; taking minutes for major department meetings; producing mass emails to artists and lenders; facilitating the annual Master Metalsmith selection in coordination with the Master Metalsmith Committee; editing six major exhibit catalogs; conducting research for future exhibits; organizing and maintaining exhibit and loan records; and participating in all Museum events. Once promoted to Exhibitions Manager, I became project leader for exhibits. Additional activities included overseeing all scheduling and design for exhibits; developing and maintaining a budget; designing the layout of each exhibit; working with Museum donors and constituents to procure hundreds of temporary loans; developing partnerships with other arts institutions to plan and create content for exhibits; creating policies, procedures, and strategic goals for the exhibit department; coordinating travel and accommodations for visiting artists; building relationships and aiding the development of funds and sponsorship in coordination with the development department; and working closely with the marketing department to develop promotional materials and strategies.

Duties and achievements included overseeing all operations and scheduling for MCA Galleries and the Visiting Artist Lecture Series; coordinating exhibit installations and de-installations for five galleries; coordinating shipping and transportation of art objects; directing bi-monthly gallery events and receptions; managing an inventory of gallery equipment and furniture; coordinating travel arrangements, housing, and scheduling for visiting lecturers; working with the office of communications for calendar planning and promotional materials; managing the GEL budget lines; serving as a member of the MCA Holiday Bazaar Committee; and supervising two work study students and one graduate assistant assigned to the GEL department.

I held the position of Gallery Assistant from 2010 to 2014, at which point I was promoted to the position of Gallery Director. As Gallery Assistant, I acted as assistant to the gallery owner and worked to fulfill the mission of the gallery through coordinating with artists, designers, and clients; maintaining good rapport with clients and the public; regularly updated the gallery’s social media pages; utilizing Wordpress to update the gallery website daily; selling art objects and processing payments; developing a systematic process for creating digital and physical records of gallery artists and inventory; maintaining and updating all gallery records; creating mass emails for promotional purposes; participating in gallery events and openings; producing labels and price sheets for each exhibit; and performing general office clerical duties. As Director, additional activities included overseeing monthly exhibit installations and de- installations; collaborating with the gallery owner on the annual exhibit schedule and individual exhibit design; and supervising interns.
