I'm officially semi-retired. Alliant's Professional Development is in good hand with my successor but in true Alliant retiree fashion, I'll stick around a little bit and work a couple days a week on special projects.

Good training can be a true differentiator for a company. Alliant’s goal is to develop training and education that is unparalleled in the insurance industry. It starts with onboarding and simply doesn’t end. Education is key in our ability to protect the assets of and partner with Alliant’s clients. Professional Development should not be a onetime thing. Our careers and those of the people that we lead, benefit if it is viewed as a continuous part of our careers. It is more than learning a new job. It is more than becoming a coverage expert. It is more than obtaining CE credits. We should all pursue a lifetime of learning.

In this position I manage operations at 5 locations and staff in excess of 100 people and have responsibility for almost $60,000,000 in revenue.

Keep staff happy and productive and to give them the tools needed to be successful.

Dealt with difficult to place insurance for Public Entity clients.

This was a small insurance agency owned by two partners and myself. We specialized in hospitality risk. In 1998 we parted company and I sold my interest to one of the partners.
