I am a Senior Aquatic Biologist and Project Manager with more than 25 years of experience in environmental consulting throughout western and northern Canada. Since 1993, I have been involved in various projects related to identifying and quantifying environmental effects and outlining mitigation and offsetting strategies associated with mining, oil and gas, transportation, water resources, and hydroelectric developments. Throughout my career, I have applied my expertise and ongoing professional development to meeting objectives and expectations put before me.My experience includes managing and supervising the aquatic component of multi-disciplinary, large-scale projects, specifically related to the mining, oil and gas, and linear development sectors. Responsibilities include study design and management of aquatic studies, scheduling and project logistics, budgeting and financial management, client and regulatory agency consultation and permitting, field investigations, proposal preparation, and project reporting. I have experience conducting environmental assessments under the requirements of the BC Environmental Assessment Act and the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act and permitting for the Mines Act, Water Sustainability Act, Environmental Management Act, and Fisheries Act.A priority at this stage in my career is to mentor and coach professional and technical staff to encourage, enhance, and promote their personal and professional growth, including sharing my knowledge and expertise in aquatic biology.
