In this role, I am responsible for organizing the tools and equipment for the lab. As a Laboratory Coordinator, I assist Optical Technicians and Engineers by helping to locate various optical equipment in the lab. I also travel to local outsource locations to deliver or receive parts that are necessary for building and completing projects. My duties include maintaining inventory, ordering supplies, and receiving packages. I also specialize in packaging for shipment and creating shipping labels for deliverables.I also perform operations such as exposing liquid crystal encapsulated substrate to manufacture waveguides and taking measurements using LabVIEW.

As a lab technician, I specialize in assembling Rx glasses by carefully mounting the lenses into frames by hand and with tools (compression pliers, screwdrivers, tweezers, Dremel drill, and nut wrenches). I handle various lens materials, including plastic, polycarbonate, trivex, and hi-index. In this role, I check the final product for defects, such as scratches, blemishes, and AR defects before we send the frames out for shipment. I am also experienced in the software, Optivision, where I adjust, customize, and measure lens shapes and input coordinates for drill holes; track and archive data from offices; and order lenses Other duties include operating optical lens shape tracer(Santinelli LT-1000) and optical lens blocker(Optronics 3B), and making phone calls to other labs regarding job status or other inquiries

As a supervisor, my goal is to create a positive experience for our customers and also maintain work flow and efficiency between team members. I greet customers while providing excellent service by answering any of their questions and making suggestions based on their needs. I also managed and completed catering orders as well as answering phone calls. My duties also included utilizing the cash register and ATM, maintaining the amount of cash in the registers and close them out at the end of the day.
