As a passionate human rights defender, Rajeev is strengthening girls-led programming and young people's leadership besides; being an Employability & Gender Trainer and; Disability Specialist. He is supporting regional network of Women with Disabilities in India, Nepal and Bangladesh to conduct research, produce reports and facilitate policy advocacy on the rights and entitlements of girls and women with disabilities. Rajeev also supports Youth networks across Asia to contribute to larger developmental processes, including advocacy on ending child-marriages, prevention of gender based violence and climate change. Being a passionate road safety volunteer, Rajeev is also coordinating and organising surveys on road safety, awareness and bystander intervention care for prevention and management of road accidents in India.Rajeev is keen to work in the conflict-affected areas with IDP camps and is currently looking for a full-term opportunity to strengthen human-rights focused programmes aimed at uplifting the lives of marginalised and neglected communities.

As a Programme Lead for Restless Development, I was managing end to end programme management and operations function supported by a range of international donors and corporates on girls-centered programming, youth-led research, Young People and SRHR, Youth Leadership etc. Besides, I was part of Procurement Committee and Senior Leadership Team actively contributing to the Agency's key strategic decisions on programmes, staffing & recruitments, consultant's onboarding, safeguarding, donor engagement, communications, financial management etc.

This is a part time (not a paid) work that I am engaged in. The trainings were conducted with Delhi Police at its specialized Training Centre and was aimed at handling road accident victims, victims of bomb blasts, suicide, burns, etc. during such emergency situations. These were held on Fridays and on Saturdays through a structured module.Major involvement was with the Delhi Police Personnel of Police Control Room (PCR) as they were the first point of contact in such cases.I have recently been acknowledged by PVR NEST and Michelin India's Event- Steer to Safety Campaign for saving Road Accident Victim(s). Till date, I have saved 35 road crash victims in Delhi. Dr. Shashi Tharoor, Minister of State for HRD, Government of India graced this occasion.

As a Manager- I was leading the following;1. Management Functions related to skilling of Persons with Disabilities under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), Government of India flagship programme under Skill India Mission.2. Providing technical support in accreditation and affiliation of Training Partners/ providers from all across India.3. Framing strategic business development and implementation Plan for SCPwD thereby promoting inclusion and gender mainstreaming.4. Effectively handling Networking and Partnerships (with Training Partners, Subject Matter Experts, NGOs and the Corporate Sectors) from all across India.5. Providing strategic support in Branding and Visibility (Brand promotion) of the Council.6. Organising direct community outreach programme(s) including job fairs and community camps to promote Skill Development of Persons with Disabilities and distribution of Aids and Appliances with Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MSJE) and Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).7. Representing SCPwD in various meetings with NSDC, MSDE and MSJE on strategic matters related to skilling/ skill development of Persons with Disabilities in India.Besides, my role involved close coordination (including preparing notes, minutes taking and record keeping) with the Governing Council (GC) Members through the CEO of the Council.

As a Project Management Consultant at CREA (till June 2015) and with other lead NGOs in the Country (July- November 2015)- My role was to;Provide strategic inputs on the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEAL) of ongoing program(s), setting up robust Management Information Systems (MIS) and strengthening the programme implementation and donor engagement.Programme(s): Women's Political Leadership, Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR), Human Rights, Disability and Development, Youth-led Development Programmes, Child Rights & Child Protection

As a Project Management Consultant- I worked with 5 recognised NGOs/ CSOs in Jharkhand and Odisha in India in enhancing the capacities of these organisations in gender and disability mainstreaming, programme planning, campaigns and advocacy, formation of the Disabled People's Organisation and network of women with disabilities, strengthening Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) approach in the project areas and in setting up effective monitoring and evaluation systems.I also advised the Leadership of these organisations on Business Development, Proposal writing/ fundraising, communications and Volunteer management. I was instrumental in strategically strengthening the programmes addressing exclusion of persons with disabilities (diversity and inclusion).

As a National Programme Coordinator- I was engaged in programme implementation of DFID-UK Aid supported International NGOs Partnership Agreement Programme (IPAP Consortium) on 'Addressing Exclusion of Persons with Disabilities in India'. The programme required working with state level CSO Partners and I was instrumental in partner onboarding and due-diligence. Themes- Inclusive education, Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR), creating barrier-free accessible infrastructure- planning and review with CSOs and the national Government, reviewing and setting up of systems (M&E) for Partners, advocacy with central and state governments, disability/ gender inclusion and mainstreaming, and working with international VSO volunteers placements. I was instrumental in enhancing the capacities of organisations’ staff, coordinating with consortium of international organizations, maintaining donor relations and reporting, coordinating volunteer placements further aimed at strengthening service delivery mechanism at the partner organisations and in the local communities.Besides, I was part of a team leading the following;1. Monitoring and managing grants through effective MIS, periodical reporting, reviews and assessments2. Grants Committee- Proposal appraisals, conducting review of annual and financial reports to identify grant making /management/ opportunities for VSO3. Analyzing performance of grants/projects/organisations and suggesting future action, preparing detailed notes on grants for circulation to the senior management and Trustees.4. Coordinating with External Resource Person (ERP)/ Expert input for projects being handled and managed including preparing the Terms of Reference (ToR)5. Designing and preparing grant recommendations with the senior management for presentation to the Trustees6. Participating in Annual Work Planning of the Trust

As a National UNV Volunteer, I was actively engaged in the programme planning, co-ordination and implementation of Men and Gender Equality (MAGE) Project under Asia and Pacific Regional Joint Programme on Engaging Boys and Men to prevent Gender Based Violence titled ‘Partners for Prevention’ (P4P). Project Management- Project formulation, partner identification and due-diligence/ onboarding, implementation of the project in state of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, Project report writing, assisted in conceptualising and designing of communication materials around GBV (Gender Based Violence) prevention targeting young people and men.2. Financial Management- Managed partner budgets over USD 200,000.3. Facilitating a Network (Forum to Engage Men) with organisations working with men and boys and other feminist organisations to combat GBV in Uttar Pradesh, Maharastra and Delhi.4. Organised and facilitated 9 Training with more than 200 youth on gender, violence against women, health and sexuality. Raajeev was associated with the Gender Training Institute of the Centre for Social Research. He was involved in CSR's UNDEF (United Nations Democracy Fund) Project on capacity building and training of 1000 women all across India to make them potential leaders and ensure their representation in the State Legislature's and Indian Parliament. The Project involved and revolved around 33% Reservation of Women Bill. The role(s) he was assigned included Gender Training, Partnerships and Programme Management, Advocacy with Members of Parliament and other stakeholders, training Women leaders on Political Participation and Governance.He was also engaged in Gender Sensitisation Workshops for Delhi Police. The training was spread out to 13 Police Stations of the South West District and aimed to 'create women friendy police stations'.Besides this, he was also appointed as Probationary Officer with Special Police Juvenile Unit (SPJU), Crime against Children and Women Cell, Delhi Police, Nanakpura, Delhi to look after cases of discrimination and abuse against women and children. He also led Counseling of Victims of Domestic Violence, Sexual assault and Child Sexual Abuse. The role required sensitive approach throughout and exposed Raajeev to the needs of children in a) Need of Care and Protection and b) Conflict with the law.

Raajeev was part of drafting team of the Child Protection Strategy 2007-2012 document. He also played a key role in organising and conducting global workshop titled, 'Inclusive and Child Friendly Schools' jointly facilitated by Save the Children, UNICEF and UNESCO, ICSSR, New Delhi, India, 2006He was also a part of the organising team of Regional Workshop on Working with Men and Boys to prevent Gender Based Violence, in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India, 2007, Regional Workshop on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Programming, Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India, 2007 and Children's Resilience Workshop, Kathmandu, Nepal, 2007He worked in close coordination with Regional Programme Manager, Save the Children Sweden to organise workshops, sessions on Child Rights Programming, Child Protection and Child Rights in South Asia region. His role was critical in establishing institutional partnership building and support, Research, Documentation and reporting, etc.
