In 2010, I received a promotion becoming the Director of Finance and Administration for PCI. In my new role, I was responsible for directing all corporate finance activities which included monthly/quarterly financial statement preparation and forecasting as well as budget development. Within this role, I oversaw, both, the Accounting department and Administrative Staff. This required establishing, coordinating, and managing a high-performance financial team. I remained focused on optimizing productivity and efficiency. I was also called to support vital business areas including business planning, finance, and human resources. I acquired and maintained all regulatory legal documents such as employment standards, OSHA paperwork, and professional certifications required for organization compliance. I also led and closed negotiations for financial leases, contracts, and commitments. Some of my accomplishments include:Designing and implementing financial and operational policies and procedures that ensured internal controls and reliability of financial statements to safeguard company assets. Serving as a member on the Executive Committee in which I was responsible for presenting monthly financial results, variance reports, and forecasts, addressing any concerns and developing processes to improve results. Maintaining accuracy of financial documentation and passing audits with no penalties.

After leaving Wilkes Artis Chartered and having served as a Staff Accountant and Accountant, I joined the PCI Communications Team in 2006. Brought on as the Accounting Manager, I advised the company on a variety of financial issues after analyzing and reporting my findings to management. Within this role, I managed a skilled team. I was responsible for administering financial operations including payroll, billing, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, budgeting, and month- and year-end closings. One of my most important roles was to ensure compliance and performance efficiency. So, to do this, I established and upheld GAAP methodologies and policies. I also reviewed and maintained accuracy, comprehensiveness, and security of fiscal files, records, and documents as well as coordinated requirements and reports for annual audits. Because of my role within the company, we were able to continually meet established financial accounting objectives. A couple of my most notable contributions include:Implementing improvements for reconciliation processes and accounting systems to organize statements for tracking; this ensured prompt collection of accounts receivable.Performing audits on all accounting systems, emphasizing strong internal control enforcement.
