The Virtual Student Federal Service connects U.S. citizen college students with the needs of federal agencies. The Innovation and Leadership Development program assists in improving the operations of the U.S. Department of State including processes, management platforms, leadership tools, defining risk, knowledge management, and innovation. Interns in this program will learn how effective foreign policy requires a strong reliable platform to develop diplomats, access institutional knowledge, leverage technology, and run a large organization operating around the world.

The City of San Diego paid summer internship program is designed to empower and employ the next generation of public servants. The program provides access to work readiness opportunities while teaching the skills those new to the workforce need to succeed in the career of their choice. The City Public Service program consists of learning about department operations in order to create weekly group presentations focused on solutions to challenges presented by city staff.

This district internship program provides an opportunity to get involved in the legislative process while exploring a career in public service. Interns work in a fast-paced professional office environment and work directly with experienced staff to assist in all aspects of their jobs, including: assisting the Senator and staff and community events and working with constituents to answer their questions; conducting research on key legislation and regional issues; helping the Senator honor individuals and organizations in the district; and interacting with experienced staff to build a real-world network.
