In a 4-session workshop series, participants shared stories of origins, ancestors, cooking, and the complicated relationships that shape our intimate needs to be rooted and free. I examined specifically how values of community, autonomy, and authenticity emerge through storytelling around food justice, and how these values must be honored if we are to prioritize eco-leadership in our communities. I define eco-leadership as the embodied philosophy of leading self and others in accordance with, informed by, and in humble conversation with nature.
