Responsible for the overall strategic management and direction of IGNITE Student Union’s branding, marketing and communications strategy to approximately 30,000 full-time students of Humber College and the University of Guelph-Humber. As a key member of the senior management team, the Communications Director oversees brand development as it aligns to IGNITE’s strategic objectives and the implementation of communication and marketing plans to support organizational initiatives. The Director sets goals, monitors work and evaluates results to ensure that all communications-related objectives increase organizational visibility and student engagement in line with the IGNITE’s mission and values. Notable accomplishments: * Lead Project Manager of 2016 organizational rebrand, effectively managing a $400K project budget. Rebrand efforts resulted in an 84% student awareness rate of IGNITE offerings and a 27% increase in student engagement levels during semester start-up activities.* Held a primary role in the development of a student database capturing engagement across all levels and offerings of the organization, the first of its kind in the Canadian post-secondary world. This database has resulted in increasingly targeted communications and the creation of a student engagement rewards plan.
