Responsible for overseeing the resolution of several hundred million dollars of non-performing commercial loans for multiple clients that purchased pools of (failed) bank loans from the FDIC via the Structured Sale - Public / Private Partnership process. Responsible for identifying, recommending and implementing asset-specific strategies to maximize recovery. Responsible for navigating and managing the various tasks common to commercial loan workouts, including litigation / bankruptcy, collateral valuation, negotiation, investor reporting and advisory, vendor management, collateral management and ultimately dispositions and/or settlement.

Transitioned from a career in commercial real estate to SBA Lending on the precipice of the "Great Recession"; originated SBA loans as a lender / LPO for three distinctly different types of lending organizations, in three years. Along with the vast majority of my co-workers and competitors, the far-ranging effects of the 2007-2009 financial crisis caused my tenure at each of three SBA Lending institutions to be cut short via either the failure of the institution, closure of the SBA business unit, or workforce reduction of originators located "out of footprint".

• CRE Broker; responsible for the marketing, negotiation and sale / lease of various types of commercial real estate assets and small business concerns. Assets included multifamily properties, office properties, retail properties, convenience stores and car washes, vacant land and non-performing loans secured by real estate. Closed an estimated seventy five sales / lease transactions, representing hundreds of properties located in over a dozen different states.• Worked within the Capital Advisory Services (CAS) Group to advise institutional lenders on the resolution of distressed debt secured by commercial real estate assets or small businesses with real estate components. Responsible for being the lead manager and/or co-manager of relationships with clients such as Morgan Stanley, GMACCM, Credit Suisse, The Apollo Group, G.E. Capital, Criimi Mae, AIG, and others. Responsibilities included providing opinions on the value of commercial real estate / small business assets that secured non-performing loans, devising strategies to recover maximum value for the lender, and implementing these strategies while working with lender’s legal counsel, asset managers, borrowers, bankruptcy courts, court appointed receivers, vendors and other parties.• Worked within the Situs Realty Services (SRS) Group to provide third party due diligence & loan underwriting services to institutional CRE lenders for a wide variety of structured finance vehicles incl. CMBS loans, warehouse LOCs, and the analysis of portfolio acquisitions; specific responsibilities included site inspections of the collateral (CRE), creation of asset and market summaries, historical / pro-forma analysis of income producing properties, informal property valuation, management of other third party vendors, etc. Analyzed a wide variety of CRE including office, retail, multifamily, hospitality, assisted living and mixed-use developments.• New business development for all of the company’s business lines
