I am IT professional who has worked in the field for 22+ years, and with healthcare IT the past 17+ years. My career has spanned a multitude of experiences from network installations to virtual server management, from local desktop support to published resource management and infrastructure. I've worked directly with healthcare users and providers, as well as other various healthcare IT teams to support Epic and overall end user workflows. For the past 12 years I've worked on the Citrix, VMware, Imprivata SSO, and VMware Horizon infrastructure side of the system. I help to maintain the Citrix infrastructure as a whole, including PVS images, as well as helping to maintain VMware Horizon images as well. I worked in alomst all areas of IT to help provide and support the various systems utilized by the hospital. This included end user system support, end user hardware support, server support, network support, helpdesk support, and project management.
Primarily worked as a level one help desk technician. While there I learned the value of having good people skills, helped to create the initial helpdesk training and information manual, and I also cross-trained with the systems staff to take care of first-level systems tickets and route more complex tickets to the appropriate parties.
