I have worked for Porsche for 9 years.Current position as a Vehicle Planner for 5 years. The responsibilities of the role have expanded massively due to the growth of the brand and the ever changing demands from close to home at PCGB to government legislation around emissions, compliance, Brexit to name a few.Order management, Centre support on options, standard equiptment, management of ordering cars and meeting deadlines. Liasing with the factory directly. Ordering internal quota for Project launches, special edditions and new models under embargo. Logistics support of stock arriving at the Ports. Ensuring carrier supply to centres in a timely and efficient fashion. Chasing overdue deliveries, prioritizing customer orders, supplying the network with ETA's and month end push.Allocation management of build slots to the centres. Deciding where quota is allocated and putting this case to senior management. Point of escalation to sales managers for decisions around quota decisions. Centre roll outs, working with Network Development on centre launches. Providing sufficient starting stock, manage timely distribution to satisfy our legal/contractual responsibilities. Centre visits to train the new team, sales executives, sales managers in order management.Manage transit damage claims. I authourise or reject claims made by the centre. Then liaise with our Marine Insurance provider to recover costs. Provide monthly reports to senior management and updates as to the companies exposure.Other projects include national training events, compliance project around GDPR and most recently an innovation project involving pitching a revenue generating idea to senior management.The job requires high levels of flexibility and proactive actions.I pride myself on volunteering for any challenge the company is to throw my way, and this has seen me develop into a highly experienced credible member of staff, among my colleagues and the wider Porsche network.
