As a Partner-Principal with EY's Parthenon growth strategy practice I led the development of new and expanded client relationships for EY’s food & agribusiness market sector. This included the bespoke development of new client relationships with leading multi-billion dollar agribusiness organizations for the Firm. Successes have included board of directors and cross-functional executive leadership team enterprise strategy and commercial transformation efforts. Highlights have included:• Development of a comprehensive, cross-functional enterprise level growth strategy and implementation plan for a leading North American grain processing and food ingredients company.• Led an extensive client development effort with a leading agricultural inputs distributor that included facilitation and development of a Board of Directors level future business aspiration, a digital and supply chain transformation roadmap, a customer experience driven business process & technology transformation and associated implementation support. • Food & Agribusiness sector lead for several multi-national agribusiness and food organizations supporting strategy, transaction and transformation support across EY service lines.In addition to my client and market efforts, with EY-Parthenon I have served as our market sector team counseling connect leader responsible for talent performance management for our sector strategy team. I also served in capacity as our sector strategy lead and co-led the development of a global sector growth strategy for the Firm.With EY-Parthenon I have been able to further broaden my food & agricultural value chain expertise with concerted efforts and client leadership into the animal protein and meat industry, along with the markets for alternative (plant-based, fermented and cell cultivated) proteins and into the grain handling and processing industries.

In a range of capacities for Context I led or co-led numerous firmwide expansion efforts resulting in more than doubling the size of this leading food & agriculture management consulting firm. Selected highlights included:• Led South American expansion efforts by securing and developing local resources in Brazil and Argentina and leading regional business development efforts.• Served in Chair roles for HR/Talent and Operations that included workforce planning, recruiting, management and retention functions as well as spearheading the formalization of Firm governance processes including the development of Firm value sharing models and revised operating agreements.My client accomplishments included the development and co-leadership of account relationships with the Firm’s largest global client by delivering on a wide-range of client initiatives. Selected highlights included:• Developed market analysis and advisory services in direct support of numerous M&A and global partnership negotiations and integration planning, including deal values for completed transactions that exceeded $50B. • Developed product portfolio and commercial expansion strategies in support of business unit growth and risk mitigation objectives in the global crop protection, biological products, seed, biotechnology trait and seed treatment markets.• Developed value capture and pricing strategies for new technology innovations and product introductions.• Delivered go-to-market strategies, growth plans and programs in North and South America agricultural input markets. In my collective time with Context I was able to work with leading commercial organizations, industry and trade associations, and NGO groups spanning the entire world of agriculture including crop production and consumption markets in North America, South America, Europe and Asia. This included work in row crops, vegetable crops as well as other specialty and permanent crop markets.

As the Director for Global Business Development with ArborGen, I was able to lead and support numerous global development and strategy efforts. As an innovator in tree genetics and biotechnology, ArborGen technology enabled faster growing trees with higher quality wood. Highlights of my accomplishments with ArborGen included:• Led internal and joint commercial valuation teams for a $50+ MM global, four-company, merger/acquisition creating the world’s largest independent commercial seedling business. • Initiated, negotiated, and led the execution of collaboration agreements with processor and landowner customers as well as technology partners and new business opportunities including partnerships, technical and commercial collaborations, and joint ventures.• Commercial Product Lead for ArborGen’s first biotechnology improved tree product – Freeze Tolerant Eucalyptus - for the Southeast US.• Supported the establishment and expansion of South American operations in Brazil.• Developed a renewable energy strategy and engaged with public and private sector efforts supporting fast growing trees as a leading feedstock candidate for cellulosic ethanol and related biofuels development.• Exposure to sustainable production systems such as SFI and FSCIn addition to these major initiatives, I led the development of corporate and business strategy for ArborGen and had additional roles in finance, marketing, and product development.
