Open source contributor for Open Austin and the myriad of volunteer-based technical projects they develop for a social greater good. The most current project I'm involved with is a revamping of the room booking feature for the Austin Public Library's website; individuals, non-profit organizations and local businesses can make use of these rooms for a multitude of purposes.

Performed diagnostic testing for various hematological and metabolic assays. Hematological assays include hemoglobin, platelet and white blood cell (WBC) concentrations for newborns. These series of tests were performed on a Sysmex-9100 analyzer for hematological screenings and a Beckman-Coulter AU480 for special chemistry assays. Metabolic assays include clinical chemistries consisting of creatinine, glucose, HDL, LDL and lipid concentrations. These tests were performed on a Beckman-Coulter AU480 chemistry analyzer. Prepared various reagents, including calibration and quality-control material, as well as nitric acid solutions for monthly analyzer maintenance.

Completed basic training and due to an injury sustained during training, was placed in a medical holdover facility. Medically and honorably discharged after 6 months.
