Profile bio

About Nathan Bornstein

Howdy there! I'm Nathan, a software engineer that puts great emphasis on being an empathetic communicator and interweaving abstraction into (mostly) every line of code I write. Too much abstraction can be a bad thing. I'm an open source enthusiast at heart and strongly believe the Internet we all know and love cannot operate without open-source technologies. Currently I'm working as a freelancer, as well as an open-source contributor/maintainer for two different organizations: OS Labs and Open Austin. When I'm not wrangling code, I enjoy playing in my acoustic punk band Fire Ant Season, tinkering with tiny computers (having a lot of fun with Flipper Zero right now), soldering on PCBs and skateboarding!

Listed skills include Centrifugation, Microsoft Word, Pointe 180 Chemistry Analyzer, Gram Staining, and 15 others.
