Assist the University Center for Economic Development (UCED) faculty and the Nevada Native Nations Center (NNNC) personnel in the preparation of strategic community, organizational, and economic development plans for public sector, private sector, and non-profit organizations as assigned including state, regional, local and tribal government agencies. Travel within the State of Nevada to facilitate strategic planning workshops, stakeholder interviews, and other related work as required or necessary and as required by ongoing work between UCED, NNNC and contracted public sector, private sector, tribal and non-profit agencies, firms, and organizations. Duties include reporting, program development, program and workshop facilitation, contract proposals, budget development and reconciliation, data analysis, research and technical writing.

Worked on and completed projects as assigned by the Director of the University Center for Economic Development (UCED). Specific tasks included, but were not limited to, data collection and analysis, developing and publishing UCED technical reports, technical memorandums, and other UCED related publications, engagement (either virtually, by phone or in person) with UCED stakeholders and clients including, but not limited to, representatives of the various Regional Economic Development Authorities (RDAs) in the state of Nevada, local municipal and county government representatives, tribal community and government representatives, other College of Business, University of Nevada, Reno, and Nevada System of Higher Education faculty and staff, and other UCED partners and stakeholders as needed.

Assisted the Division's Audit Liaison with fiscal monitoring of SNAP subrecipients to ensure expenditures of federal funds were properly documented and made in accordance with applicable regulations and requirements, determined if a subrecipient and third party subrecipient were carrying out its activities in a timely manner and in accordance with the subaward, reviewed the adequacy of the subrecipient's internal controls and the reliability of the subrecipient's financial management system, verified subrecipients had received a single audit as required under 2CFR200, developed procedures for addressing subrecipient noncompliance, and ensured subrecipients met the terms and conditions of the subaward, fiscal goals and that amounts reported were accurate, allowable, supported by documentation and properly allocated.

Worked onsite at outreach locations directly with NNLC students. Assisted individuals with coursework and career path mapping and implementation.

Responsible for strategic and overall operations for Opportunity Alliance Nevada's programs, expansion, and execution of its mission, providing strong leadership and building relationships through strong personal skills, taking advantage of strategic opportunities.

Taught English Language Acquisition and Adult Basic Education classes to individuals seeking self-improvement, including preparation for the High School Equivalency Test. Created and implemented lesson plans with a focus on individual student improvement.

Implement and follow primary teacher's lesson plans. Maintain classroom behavior and assist students of all ages, pre-school through high school, with completing their work in all subjects. Filled 11 week long term position teaching Physical Education at Lahontan Elementary School to 474 students in grades 1 through 6. Filled 4th grade long term vacancy at Lahontan Elementary School for entire second semester 2015.

Pursue economic development activities including business attraction and assistanceleading to retention and development of existing businesses. Work directly withChurchill County, City of Fallon, Fallon Chamber of Commerce, Hwy95 RuralDevelopment Agency, Western Nevada Development District and the CEDA BusinessCouncil. Supervise existing staff.

Committed to identifying funding sources, providing sound grant development and management practices, guidance at all stages of grant resource development, and facilitating partnerships with funding agencies to fiscally support projects and services that improve the City of Fallon and Churchill County, impact positively the economy of Northern Nevada, and generally improve the quality of life for all residents therein.

Presented regular Grant Writing Workshop to interested attendees through Western Nevada College, Fallon campus's Community Education program.

Provided administrative and managerial services for Tribal Court system. Supervised Court Clerk, Wellness Court Coordinator, and Probation Officer. Maintained all court records and evaluated and updated court policies and procedures. Coordinated judicial services with all other Tribal departments and established Churchill Courts Collaborative to coordinate neighboring jurisdictions.

Worked to preserve, protect, promote, and manage all matters relating to the cultural resources of the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribe by coordinating regular consultation meetings with Federal, State, and local agencies regarding matters of importance to the Tribe as well as working with Fallon Tribal Development Corporation monitoring projects carried out on Tribal lands. Authored two successful grants: awarded $48,104 through Institute of Museum and Library Services to inventory Tribal collections; awarded $90,000 through National Parks Service to re-establish the Great Basin Inter-Tribal NAGPRA Coalition.

Responsible for all trial court matters. Managed the pleadings and other documents filed in cases of all types pending before the Tribal Court. Prepared docket and issued all notices, subpoenas, and summons. Recorded court proceedings and provided all necessary assistance to Chief Tribal Judge.

Explained the purpose of the census interview, answered residents' questions, elicited information following a script, and recorded census data on forms. Complied with accuracy standards while maintaining high production rates. Maintained records of hours worked, units produced, miles driven, and expenses incurred in the performance of duties.

Responsible for counting every resident and housing unit in Storey County on Census Day (April 1, 2010). Trained and supervised 17 enumerators, including 3 crew leader assistants. Reviewed and certified daily payroll and progress reports and ensured that work was completed within established time schedules. Advised supervisor of progress and performance, and made recommendations for dismissal of those who could not or would not perform required duties.

Recorded new sites using Intermountain Antiquities Computer System (IMACS) Forms, photography, and by creating compass and pace field maps. As sole research assistant at the Center for San Diego studies, designed and performed data entry into database for historical census data of San Diego. Assisted students in retrieving data and generating reports for undergraduate major papers

Performed various duties during archaeological investigation of BLM land involved in Jones Land Exchange, Ruby Valley, NV. Co-ordinated volunteer labor through US Forest Service's Passport In Time. Served as Teacher's Assistant during 5 week field school.
