Joined Google as an Associate Product Manager shortly after graduating from Stanford.Google Adwords (2002 to 2004). Headed a small group of statistician-engineers to coordinate and improve monitoring, forecasting, and optimization efforts by analysts company-wide, improving access to business data, and developing and patenting pricing techniques used in Adwords and Adsense. Google News (2004 to 2007). Headed the news product and oversaw its rapid growth into one of the top global news sites, internationalization to more than 40 countries/languages, as well as quality, infrastructure, and personalization efforts.Google Suggest (2004-2007). Launched the first experiment of Google Suggest on Google Labs in 2004; now available on almost all Google search properties worldwide.Google Current (2004-2006). Launched the Google Current segment with CurrentTV (current.com), coordinating strategy, business development, and product development / engineering efforts to provide real-time search trend data. Later teams made this publicly available as Google Trends.Weather (2004-2006). Launched weather conditions and forecasts within Google search results, and managed product development and business development for weather.Additional notes:Represented Google to journalists, editors, and the public at numerous times around the world, including speaking engagements at the Online News Association in Hollywood, American Society of News Editors in Seattle, World Editors Forum in Moscow, Harvard Business School Cyberposium, Society of Editors in Glassgow, and the 2nd Al Jazeera Forum in Doha.
