Stealth-mode Internet Start-up addressing IP Network security in network-connected SCADA Industrial networks. Due to funding issues, the company remains in concept and development stages.

Founding partner, with a role functionally equivalent to Chief Technology Officer. Designed and built points of presence in the Telco central offices, and designed and built the network backbone and much of the network monitoring and control systems. Also tested and evaluated new products for incorporation in the network, and helped design products and systems built around those platforms.

Tested and evaluated technology platforms for incorporation in the network. Deployed the first available ATM switches into the first operating commercial ATM based network. Incorporated the early MAE Ethernet switches into the ATM network, making the the high-speed Internet backbone a reality. Designed and built a Frame Relay based management backbone for command and control infrastructure of that network. Designed and deployed the first commercial DSL network into 54 central offices.

I joined Tymnet in 1980 in the Houston field office where I supported many networking customers, including our presence inside the Pentagon. In 1983 I moved to the Corporate offices in San Jose and supported several large west coast clients including Bank of America and TRW. When MCI was poised to buy Tymnet from BT, I chose to leave with some other Tymnet employees to join the startup MFS Datanet. My book "Securing the Network" is partly biographical and tells the story of MFS Datanet, the creation of MAE East and how that led to the commercialization of the Internet.
