I am an Honors Computer Science major at the University of Massachusetts Amherst also pursuing a minor in Linguistics. Simply put, I like to make stuff that does things. I enjoy the satisfaction of bringing an idea to life, and programming is a very efficient way to do that. I've always enjoyed learning new technology to bring my ideas forth into reality. As a child, I was always told how much I liked to push buttons. As I grew older, this interest morphed into many forms, including AV tech, theater lighting/sound, video editing, music production, and eventually coding. I am passionate about using technology to solve real-world problems, a desire I got to fulfill at my Software Engineering internship with Shell TechWorks last summer. I have always been a nerd for data analysis, which has recently motivated my forays into Machine Learning, including extensive involvement with the UMass Machine Learning Club (now MassAI). With my experience in environmental organizations, it would be my dream come true to go into ClimateTech, using programming and data science to fight climate change.
