Communications consultant for regional admission consortium consisting of more than 40 independent private schools. • Implemented marketing initiatives determined by PSIS Board for admissions season (June-January) including advertising design and distribution for print and web; graphic design packets for admissions fairs and other recruitment purposes; extensive event calendar maintenance for 40+ member schools on admission-specific events; and overall website maintenance. • Spearheaded and maintained social media marketing campaign, maintaining a robust presence on facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and local online media calendars.

Interim communications director for oldest K-12 independent school in Seattle. • Responsible for daily web updates; internal and external communications; weekly e-newsletter to constituents, including implementing new, streamlined schedule and design; media relations; online annual report design and editing; crisis communications; alumni relations design projects (electronic and print) including writing, editing and design of bi-annual alumni magazine. • As part of development and admission offices collaborated on fundraising efforts and admissions materials.• Assisted with Head of School search and transition including on-boarding materials and communications regarding transition to alumni, faculty and staff, students and parents, community leaders, and the local media.

• Day-to-day upkeep of school website including writing and posting of feature stories, blog posts, calendar updates, photo upkeep, document uploading, and HTML design through the backed with CMS (Drupal).• Spearheaded language translation project, developing a mini-website translated into 8 different languages for admissions purposes. Wrote and edited all copy for the website and worked with translation team on authentic translations of each page. Project launch December 2011.

As project manager, responsible for internal audit of website; copy writing and editing; photo selection and editing; budget management and schedules. Organized and staffed all meetings with school officials and design firm and ensured that the project stayed on time and on budget.

• Responsible for all writing, editing and design-oversight of in-house communications materials including tri-annual magazine; monthly electronic newsletters to various constituents; annual report; web content and updates; annual calendar and directory; and brochures, invites, and other philanthropy marketing materials. Wrote press kits, media lists and special promotions packets for media, bookstores and editorial purposes; responsible for marketing campaigns and follow-up calls/inquiries with media, bookstores and special-sales contacts. Responsible for some editorial (copyediting, proofing, and back cover copy).• Arranged and organized press/publicity tours for authors. Handled all book review requests and press mailings and provided parent company (Independent Publishers Group) with weekly and monthly reports of publicity and sales for top catalog titles.
