Senior Technology Policy Advisor
CurrentDirect technology policy initiatives for the Office of Disability Employment Policy. Create strategies and partnerships to help workplaces across the country use technology to advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA). Foster strategic collaborations with government partners, technology companies, civil rights groups, research institutions, and others. Advise senior department executives on policy opportunities to shape technology issues, from artificial intelligence in hiring to broadband access. Prepare succinct briefing materials and presentations for the Deputy Secretary of Labor, Chief Innovation Officer, Assistant Secretary for Disability Employment Policy, and others. Serve as primary content advisor for the Chair of the Access Board, working with the Executive Director to update accessibility regulations, draft speeches, and organize bimonthly Board meetings. Direct the Partnership on Employment & Accessible Technology (PEAT), an award-winning national initiative to convene stakeholders and offer free resources on using technology to make workplaces inclusive of people with disabilities. Manage a team of seven expert technologists and communicators to set realistic priorities with high impact.
