As one of Lyons Design Directors, Neil has led or co-led the design of many of our major award winning projects. These include the John Curtin School of Medical Research at the Australian National University, which received both State based and National Award through the Australian Institute of Architects, and most recently the School of Medicine at the University of Western Sydney which was short-listed in the 2008 World Architecture Awards in Barcelona. Neil has also provided design leadership on the multi-award winning VUT St Alban’s Multi-media Centre (2001 Victorian Architectural Medal winner), and the Ecolinc Science Technology Innovations Centre which received a number of sustainability awards in 2005. He led the Hume City Council Offices team, which was awarded the 2008 Harry Seidler Award for Commercial Architecture, and was one of the first Australian projects to be certified as 5 Star Green Star rated by the Green Buildings Council of Australia.Neil recently completed the design of the Neil recently completed the design of the $83M Green Chemical Futures building at Monash University which integrates Monash science teaching programs with translational research and industry engagement spaces to form a complete new science building in the disciplines of green chemistry. He is currently leading the design of Perth’s $70M new city square called “Yagan Square”.
