Working in the operations and the technical support team, and under the responsibility of the Operations Manager, I was charged with the creation of marketplace catalogues for the clients on our platform, along with managing the mapping and installing the necessary parameters to allow for the diffusion of the clients catalogues. In particular, my responsibilities include:Technical onboarding of clients: identifying the technical context, as well as the constraints and specificities of the clientSetting up the “Feed Engine’ - the catalogue data integration tool – mapping and specific rulesSetting up the ‘Mapping Site’ - the product distribution tool - adapting the configuration to particular marketplace specificationsCoordinating with the development team to resolve technical errors

The role is demanding and covers a variety of geoscientific business aspects including developing and supporting the technical marketing division as well as facilitating and assisting company projects, particularly focused on workshops, seminars and worldwide exhibitions (including events in Saint Petersburg, Luanda and Amsterdam).The role also provided plenty of autonomy and I was able to conduct a number of projects, such as client and industry based studies, which have allowed me to travel and participate in international events. Other duties include, managing specific market research and analysis projects as well as conducting and participating in frequent interdepartmental presentations and meetings.I have also been able to avail of the CGG university, attending numerous courses, which has helped me to continuously learn and also improve my understanding in this particular sector. I have also greatly enhanced my French language skills.

The main tasks undertaken as a Database Administrator role was recording, detailing, updating and correcting customers private bank details and information in order to adhere to new banking regulations. Although my time was brief at the bank due to my Masters beginning in September, the role gave me a good insight and understanding into daily banking operations.

During my intership I garnered invaluable experience working in an international, multilingual and team-orientated environment.
