Established agency and branch office in Poland leading to turnover of US$1.2mio in first 12 months rising to US$2.3mio in second year. Established new and successful sales agencies in Italy, Spain and Portugal including development of Portuguese ‘bridge’ operation to access politically sensitive marketplace with $150k monthly turnover. Established European warehouse in Germany to gain access to smaller ‘premium’ customers throughout Europe and to offer rapid supply options for existing customers.

Ochtrup, Germany

Sold DM15mio of textiles for the clothing / fashion industries of France, Belgium, Italy, Spain and Portugal.Analysed markets and developed appropriate marketing strategies. Managed local agencies, budgets and planning.

Developed and maintained European and East African markets for Turkish textiles and UK-produced yarn exports. Introduced and presented the company at Purchasing Manager to Chairman level.
