In the evenings and on weekends, I’m a dedicated family man with 5½ kids (and no, that’s not a typo), who enjoys rising with the sun, staying fit, socialising with friends, and embracing all that life has to offer.The rest is not my CV it's just my story.I started my career in telecoms as a sales consultant back in 1992, moved into middle management in 1997 then started my own telecoms company in 1999.In 2002, I turned my attention online and did my first multiple six-figure launch with FOCAS (Free Online Communications Advisory Service), a company that was recognised by PwC as having extraordinary potential, nominated by the Comms National Awards for rapid market growth and contribution, and later sold under license to BPL Media.In 2004, I began sharing my knowledge and experience with high-growth potential businesses, advising in the areas of digital strategy, technology, sales and marketing.12 years later I founded Digital Directive, built The Online Business Information Exchange and launched Autom8, an on-demand DIY coaching program for lifestyle entrepreneurs and first time business owners.This year (2024), I decided to transition away from consultancy, invest in a social enterprise, and embrace a new way of life with my family in Dubai. Whilst I remain an enthusiastic strategist, advisor and broker, my focus has shifted towards personal fulfillment rather than financial gain. In life, I’m naturally attracted to 'Go Givers' more so than 'Go Getters,' so I surround myself with believers and achievers. Managing DirectorTrust Mango Oct 2007 - Oct 2015Having paid tens of thousands of pounds to various different agencies and software developers over the years, I decided back in 2007 to set up an R&D business and start experimenting with Open Source web technologies myself, namely Django (Python) WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and Magento. By mid 2010 I'd built out three different MVP's (Monkey Media, iSeeUC iFindiPhone) across three separate CMS frameworks. I then began testing various online monetisation strategies such as click through advertising, affiliate marketing, email marketing, membership subscriptions, direct sponsorship and more. At the same time I actively researched, selected and deployed a wide variety of different SaaS solutions (Infusionsoft, Hubspot and others) to test and monitor exactly how a modern day business could run in the cloud, on full auto-pilot.In late 2015 the assets were stripped, the business dissolved and the IP transferred to Digital Directive.
