As a member of the Database support team the mantra was"Backups"! All client sites were initially only performing one full backup a week. Immediately our three member team began to implement regularly scheduled full, differential, and incremental backups. We also identified the need for redundancy for storing backups. Shortly after we initiated the new backup schedule and migrated backup files onto Dell Isilon storage, an active ExtremeIO array was erroneously decommissioned. Working with application owners and utilizing the most recent backups, our team was able to quickly restore services with minimal data loss.
