Hello! My name is Nick Corbin, I am currently a senior studying Computer Engineering at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. My current goal upon graduating is to try to work somewhere full time. Long term, I want to also get a master’s degree in some area depending on my career path. Another goal of mine has been to gain as much experience as I can throughout my time in college. I have had several amazing opportunities both professionally and on campus. This past summer I had the incredible opportunity to work at Eastman Chemical Company, where I worked on a .NET web-app that allows estimating teams to view, create, edit, and track project estimates across the company. I also have had the incredible opportunity to work in the summer of 2019 at Amazon, where I worked on a Java service that analyzed team’s pipelines to improve deployment pipeline quality at Amazon.I have significant experience with C/C++ programming, Java, C#, .NET Core, Python, HTML/CSS, and other languages/frameworks. I have also had lab experience with circuits as well, using various lab equipment and components to create and analyze circuits hands on. I have also been heavily involved on campus, serving as the Co-Director of the Technology Affairs committee of our Student Government Association. Our committee works to advocate to improve students’ technology experiences at UT. Last year, I also had the opportunity to serve as the president of our apartment’s residence association, which planned events that would bring the apartment community together.
