Kenowa Industries is a company specializing in fabrication of material handling solutions including racks, carts, dollies, workstations, wire baskets, and custom designs. From the initial conceptual design phase, into engineering and 3D rendering, and production, Kenowa Industries is able to help companies in need of turning an idea into fully functioning material handling solution. As an Account Manager, I served as an on site consultant, visiting facilities to gain a better understanding of the material handling or storage problems faced. At that point, I worked with the design and fabrication team to develop an accurate proposal and concept to meet customer needs.

The signature event of the West Michigan Sports Commission, the Meijer State Games of Michigan is a multi-sport, Olympic-style event that welcomes athletes regardless of age or ability. The Games embody the values of participation, sportsmanship and healthy living among residents of the state of Michigan. The philosophy of the Meijer State Games of Michigan is that everyone participates regardless of age or ability; everyone is welcome and everyone plays. The Meijer State Games of Michigan is truly a grassroots organization that relies on the dedication of thousands of volunteers and the support of corporate partners.My time at the Meijer State Games of Michigan was spent promoting the different sports offered to athletes from around Michigan in order to increase participation, where I would write articles for magazines to publish read by athletes in efforts to increase interest. I also designed ads, created athlete spotlights articles, and networked with community members to grow the games. My biggest achievement was adding 3-event Water Skiing to the games in 2014, and continuously increasing the number of participants who compete as the 2014, 2015, and 2016 Tournament Director.

My time at WGVU was spent with the marketing and sales department, connecting the two to develop unified branding for the NPR and PBS affiliate. I was able to do so by developing media kits for underwritters to bring to potential and current clients, writing copy to be read for television and radio spots, conducting communication audits to assure WGVU was sending the same brand image to all outside eyes and ears, and coordinating special events hosted by WGVU. The special event consisted of food and wine symposiums, special screening events, and free events for families to attend with their children. I was also able to strengthen my Photoshop, AI, and InDesign skills by creating content for the web, social media, and print media at special events.
