A contract role with the Environmental Solutions branch, I focused on undertaking literature reviews on different aspects of landfills. Areas of focus included: landfill gas capture, phytocaps and leachate management systems. This information will be used to update the landfill guidelines and other statewide policy documents that I am also part of writing.

I undertook this temporary role during the wet season (with an extension) at Lady Lorretta Mine in north west Queensland. This was a FIFO role with a 2:1 roster. I worked at a small environmental consultancy on the northern beaches of Sydney. My role was very dynamic, shifting from site work to report writing. I was classified as a flexible asset working in both routine and non-routine labs simultaneously.
