Research Engineer
Research Engineer for the GE Research - Electrical Systems division. Focused primarily on Advanced RF Microsystems, including industrial sensors & 5G telecom applications. Leading programs for developing TRL and MRL of legacy systems, including GE Research sensor product integration for aviation flight demo. Deep hands-on testing & problem-solving for RF devices, from wafer level to bench top modules. Lead development of automated RF testing routines & data analysis, for use in ISO-9001 production quality system. Post-processing of measurement & simulation data using JMP & Lua scripting language, deep experience in data visualization. Intermediate experience in 2.5D EM simulation using Sonnet, and RF circuit modeling in ltSpice. Technical writing for publications & conferences, including selection for presentation at GOMAC Tech 2020. Intermediate experience in flexible hybrid electronics, process development & design for RF systems. Strong experience in characterizing RF devices with respect to wafer fabrication processes.
Microsystems Engineer
I work in a cutting-edge research and development laboratory at GE Global Research Center's Electronics division (formerly known as MNST - Micro & Nano Structure Technology). In the Microsystems Testing & Characterization lab, we put groundbreaking research to the test everyday, and push the limits of novel microelectronics. The main focus of my experience in the lab has been on microelectromechanical systems (MEMS); in particular, a metal-MEMS switch/micro-relay core technology, across multiple products in different applications. Using sophisticated methods of metrology (phase-shifting interferometry, laser-Doppler vibrometry, automated systems of multiple electrical testing units and data acquisition, and much more), I provide critical data for the development of MEMS micro-fabrication processes, and lead the customer-driven testing efforts. I have become fluent in data-driven decision making at a high-level, and now work closely with Project Leaders on project & product management. Our success stories - With the help from a team of some of the most brilliant Scientists & Engineers in the world, I've become a key player in taking GE's high-power MEMS switch from a proof-of-concept to now being fully realized in GE-Healthcare NPI programs for new MRI systems. This was our first big win after several years of seed funding for process development of our novel metal-MEMS technology. Building off this success, I've since lead our test lab development efforts across other MEMS switch applications - This has resulted in several licensing deals, as well as the birth of a spin-off company
Electronics Technician - Mems Test & Characterization
I work in a dynamic research and development laboratory at GE Global Research Center's Micro & Nano-Structure Technology division. In the Microsystems Testing & Characterization lab, we put groundbreaking research to the test everyday, and push the limits of emerging microelectronics. The main focus of my experience in the lab has been on microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), and I've become a key part of taking MEMS designs from a proof-of-concept to now being integrated into new products.
Pecvd Operator
Operated plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition equipment in front-end process development of digital x-ray technology. This was for the transition of GE's Digital Mammography program from its developmental stage into full-scale production.
Media Manager
Managed photo and video of products, for company catalogue, website, commercials, etc. Worden Safety owns the patent on wheel chocks, an industry standard on vehicular safety. I used several photo editing softwares (Photoshop, Photoline, iPhoto, etc.) to make professional quality images, used Microsoft Publisher to manage the product catalogue, and FTP clients to manage media on the company website. Also filmed and edited product reliability testing videos for customers, as well as a company commercial.
It Technical Assistant
Summer full-time and part-time during school, assisted the IT department, faculty, and students with technical issues surrounding Averill Park High School's computer network.
