I am a Senior at UTD majoring in Finance with an AA Degree in Business from San Jacinto Community College. Throughout my studies, I have discovered that my interests include accounting and finance. Furthermore, by watching many family members and even influencers make an impact in the world by working in the business industry, I have become even more interested in joining the business field. Additionally, I have experience working with customers, which has helped me become an active listener with exceptional communication skills. I have also had experience with keeping inventory and maintaining a business after helping a family member run their store. That family member is my cousin, a person I admire very much. He built his store from the ground up and has worked hard to make it as successful as it is now. For a few months, my cousin mentored me and showed me how he runs his business and maintains his store. During this time, he taught me how he keeps inventory, tracks his finances, and interacts with customers. Those few months of working with him inspired me to pursue a business degree. A more well-known inspiration of mine is Matthew Haag, who is the founder and CEO of 100 Thieves, which is a gaming organization that has expanded to working in the entertainment and apparel industry. Because I have watched him grow over the years, he has become one of my many inspirations. I have watched him develop from a competitive gamer to a successful businessman who has worked alongside many celebrities. Both my cousin and Matthew Haag have showed me that with hard work and determination, it is possible to build a successful business. With the experiences and skills I have learned from them, I feel more prepared and excited to join the business industry.
