Nicholas is responsible for two roles as Principal at Landell Consulting:1. Leading the ICT Procurement consulting service line.2. Providing and managing ICT systems and services to support the Landell business.Nicholas has grown the ICT Procurement consulting service line from a $1M per annum business to around a $5M per annum business. This service line has expanded to deliver ICT procurement consulting services to all of the major 16 Victorian government agencies (the “G16”). Major ICT and procurement consulting projects that Nicholas has recently lead include:1. Implementation of a comprehensive ICT Sourcing Strategy for the Australian Red Cross Blood Service, and establishment of standing offer contracts for Network and Telecommunication Services and Infrastructure Goods and Services. The resulting contracts are valued at $60-65M over 5 years, and represent savings of around $14M, as well as a significant improvement in service levels and organizational capability.2. Establishment of standing offer contracts for Storage, Backup and Archive infrastructure and professional services for Whole of Victorian Government. This included development of requirements, Request for Tender documentation, project management of the RFT process and evaluation teams end-to-end, negotiation of commercial terms and contract executions. The resulting contract was valued at ~$65M, and represents a saving of around $40M compared to baseline costs.3. Development, management, and procurement support for the Information Management Systems and Services RFT for the Victorian Bushfires Royal Commission (VBRC). This specification and subsequent RFT resulted in the procurement and implementation of all systems and services required to manage and process the massive amount of documentation, video, audio, transcriptions and other data, created, collected and managed by the VBRC during its investigation and hearings.

Lead Consultant as part of the Consulting Services team, undertaking Digital Records Management consulting for Victorian Government departments, as the implement the Victorian Electronic Records Standard (VERS) across all systems and processes.

Responsible for transforming the way the PROV provides advice to Victorian Government agencies in regards to records management and electronic records management best practice. Key contributions have included mentoring of staff, setting a more professional consulting services focussed staff culture, introduction of a project management methodology, a formal approach or gathering and managing client intelligence and the introduction of client relationship management structures and techniques.

Involvement in the Digital Archive project from early RFT and requirements development, through RFT, vendor and product selection, project kick-off and system design. Responsible for overall technical design and implementation and bringing the system up under full operational support regime. Responsible for the overall technical architecture and design of the digital archives AU$1M of hardware including; system architecture networks, web and application servers, integration with legacy systems, infrastructure security design, disaster recovery architecture and procedures, RDBMS servers, computer facilities, and operation of the System Test, Development, UAT and Production environments.Responsible for hiring and managing a small team of technical specialists to implement and support the system which comprise; systems administrators (x2), test manager, full time test staff (x2) part time test staff (x4), desktop support staff.

Leader of the Network Infrastructure Solutions service line for Australia, reported to the Vice President of the Technology Service Line for Australia. Lead architect for CGE&Y “Go to Market” solutions such as the Energy B2B Hub and Full Retain Contestability (FRC) Gateway systems, and on large client projects.
