My education at UW-Madison has left me with a broad knowledge of mathematics, physics and computer science. Distilling all that I have learned across these fields, I have developed a diverse understanding of math and its applications. I aim to use this understanding to find elegant solutions to problems.At the intersection of all my studies lies the discipline of problem solving, and that is what I pride myself most on. Whether it be viewing algorithms through a mathematical lens to find new perspectives or using my experience in physics to develop a better understanding of a complex system, I am in my element.During my time at Revature, I worked on several projects where I was able to hone my problem-solving abilities as well as learn new skills and technologies which are relevant to the job of a modern Data Engineer. I quickly became acclimated to Scala (I have much experience using Java) and used Scala to interact with crucial and historical technologies such as Hadoop Hive, HDFS, AWS, Spark, Spark SQL, MapReduce, and many more. I am looking forward to applying all of the experiences I have gathered in a position on your team.
