Our mission is to provide not only revolutionary, but effective programs that offer essential tools that those enrolled can use immediately after CAMP. Research performed in the laboratory investigates antibody structure to determine if specific conformations are preferred, and if these conformations increase ability of the antibody to bind antigen and other immune system molecules. The technique used to examine the structures of antibodies is Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) at the single molecule level.

Undergraduate representative on the Laboratory Saftey Committee for DePaul University's Department of Chemistry. Responsibilities include: attending quarterly committee meetings with faculty members sitting on the committee; preparing notes, observations, and suggestions for enhancing classroom laboratory and research laboratory safety; provide an undergraduate perspective to the committee that can be used to help better and more effectively support fellow undergraduate students.

Responsibilities include: Reading and preparing for each weekly lab experiment, typically requiring 20 minutes for each different lab course taught per week. Preparing and delivering a 10-15 minute Pre-lab lecture at the beginning of lab. This is an overview of the experiment, new lab techniques and equipment should be demonstrated, safety rules that must be stressed each week.Monitor and interact with students during the entire lab session. This means circulating throughout the lab section visually monitoring student performances.Grade Pre-Lab and Lab Reports weekly, return to students the following week. This process typically requires 1-1.5 hours per week per lab section.

Strengthened: leadership, communication, and management skills through the training process. Facilitated small group (8-25 students) discussion and activities with incoming freshmen students about resources at DePaul University as well as the transition to college as a whole. Collaborated with a team of 23 other individuals as well as two student coordinators fostering a team affinity and ultimately successfully supporting 13 summer orientation programs. Addressed issues that needed individual attention, including: student/parent concerns, disagreements, areas of inquiry, and further communication.
