Responsibility for the day to day running of Cybercrime, Digital Forensics and Fraud capabilities within the SE ROCU, managing and coordinating resources into complex cyber dependent and high level cyber enabled offences, into serious and complex fraud investigations against organised crime groups and the Digital Forensics Unit working to ISO standards. Acts as Senior Investigating Officer on all Cyber and Fraud investigations.This entails working closely with regional and national partners.SE ROCU Cyber is a leader in cryptocurrency investigations and Nick authored the initial Senior Investigating Officer guidance using s47 Proceeds of Crime Act legislation to search and seize Bitcoin. This became national best practise as the legislative framework to seize cryptocurrency. A member of the Home Office Cryptocurrency Working Group.As Technical Manager for the ISO Digital Forensics process implemented procedures and management processes working towards ISO accreditation. SEROCU were the first ROCU to achieve this with staff working to the highest ethical standards.Implemented the Regional Cyber Prevent and Protect strategies developing new capabilities for the South East region.

Responsible for serious and volume crime investigation for the Local Police Area and part of the Area Management Team. A key part of the role was reviewing and managing risk and criticality on the LPA across all crime types.Acted as Senior Investigating Officer on all identified crime series and proactive covert operations. These operations were often cross force border working with partners.
