Nick Meacham is the Communications Coordinator for the North Carolina Community College System's BioNetwork. Nick earned his BA in Political Science from London Guildhall University and a Masters degree in Education from Western Carolina University. He came to the USA in 2004 from Birmingham, England with experience in Local, National and European politics, serving as an elected member of Council in a Metropolitan area for a number of years; he also worked as a political advisor to a Member of the European Parliament. He holds a vast amount of experience in Education, Health, E-Government, Urban planning and economic development and served on numerous advisory committees and boards in these fields. He was also in a high profile position as shadow cabinet member for urban planning, on Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council. Nick has held two roles within the BioNetwork, firstly as the BioBusiness Specialist, supporting Small Business Centers statewide; he contributed to the development of the BioBusiness Center website and e-communications also in the outreach to K-12 by providing introduction to biotechnology classes in middle & High Schools.
