Nick serves as Director for The Forvis Mazars Higher Education Services Practice and is located in the Indianapolis office. He has over thirty years of experience in managing audit and advisory services to colleges, private schools, churches, missionary organizations, social service agencies, seminaries, media, and other not-for-profit organizations. Prior to joining Forvis Mazars, he was employed by Katz Sapper&Miller and Capin Crouse CPA's (a niche audit firm) and before that a large west coast private university. His work at Capin included building a large (up to 75 colleges) portfolio of higher education clients. At Biola, he was responsible for development and implementation of internal accounting procedures for the planned giving program, tax administration for charitable trusts, and external reporting for federal student financial aid programs. He holds a B.A. degree from California State University, Fullerton.Nick’s extensive higher education industry volunteer experience includes: - Taylor University Audit, Enrollment and Business Affairs Committees (Served as committee chair) - Taylor University Trustees executive committee and committee on trustees - WBCL Radio Board member - Public Representative for the Accrediting Association of Bible Colleges - ECFA Standards Committee - Johnson County ARC Board of Directors (served as treasurer) Nick is a noted speaker at industry conferences and events and has authored various articles and publications the Association of Governing Boards (AGB), Association of Biblical Higher Education (ABHE), Christian College Coalition (CCC) and the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU).
