The Association's mission is to further the progress of agriculture in Canterbury, this is achieved through the annual Canterbury A&P Show.The Canterbury A&P Show, the largest A&P Show in New Zealand, runs for three days in November. The Association also runs various feature competitions as well as the Canterbury Stud Ram & Ewe Fair and Spring Into Action Horse & Pony Training Show.The Board of Directors of the Canterbury A & P Association provides overall strategic long term governance and financial stewardship for the Association, working closely with the Association's committee, Event Director and Operations staff for the continuing success of the organisation.

Akaroa

The Akaroa Structure Group has been facilitating the creation of a new Integrated Family Health Centre for the Akaroa community following the loss of the Akaroa Hospital in 2011. The group is made up of various members of the Akaroa community including local health professionals and advisors who have been working on the development of new facilities alongside the Canterbury District Health Board, Pompallier House and the Akaroa Health Centre whose services will be integrated into one facility. Nick’s role has been primarily focused on:- Financial objectives of the new facilities, assisting in developing the business plan and budgets and recognising the key need of a sustainable business model.- Developing key relationships with members of the CDHB change management team - Strong understanding of the health care funding model planned for the new facilities - Assist in developing the future Governance Model of the Akaroa Community Trust and Akaroa Health Hub Limited.

- Production of detailed month and YTD expenditure analysis for EMEA Retail business, including variance analysis- Consolidation of International Retail expense analysis- Liaison with cost centre managers to ensure expenditure maintained at budgeted levels, including interface with HR on headcount / recruitment levels- Assistance with preparation of month / full year expense forecasts and expense budget preparation process- Monitor and prepare quarterly reports on expenditure for Offshore fund ranges - Liaising with Business Finance and the central BlackRock finance function on expense queries etc- Liaising with Edinburgh Expense team with processing monthly accruals and other journal adjustments, as required, liaising with AP dept when necessary- Ad hoc analysis as required

- Preparation and managing monthly centrally controlled expense accruals for Global Banking Markets business- Review of overseas cost packs and querying movements- Full review and analysis of the Executive Costs Balance Sheet- Management of Executive Costs Balance Sheet Reconciliation process for 11 business units- Investigation and responding to Central Statutory Reporting monthly queries and external auditors in a timely manner- Preparation and submission of year end and quarter end of Hyperion Consolidation System returns and supplementary data packs to GBM Central Statutory Reporting team- Legal Entity recharging and monthly recharging process of London Booked costs to overseas locations including liaising with overseas counterparties to ensure that Intercompany variances are resolved and cash settlement is obtained- Review of the balance sheet controls and reconciliation processes in place for GBM Executive Costs area including implementing required changes
